I was the rebel child of the family that didn't attend the University of Never Leaving Vegas. I met this guy named Alan in the back of the Clarinet Section my first week at Texas Christian University . . . we got married 2 weeks after graduation!
We embarked on an Air Force Career that focused on Missile Defense that took us to Cheyenne, WY, Vandenberg, CA, Omaha, NE and landed us in the suburbs of Washington DC.
I started my Mary Kay business in Wyoming after our first child was born and was easily able to work it around my priority of raising our children. All three of the kids have finished college and are doing well. Bryan lives near Baltimore and programs for Lockheed Martin. Chris works for Fidelity and does community theatre with his fiancee Julia in Boston and Rachel moved back in with us for a while while she saves for her own place. She is running the office of a small outdoor construction company.

I started working as a companion for the elderly when my husband was laid off from his full time position. I enjoy it so will continue for a while - it fits in with my Mary Kay business and I've met some wonderful people.
Meanwhile, I'm working toward life coaching certification with a small company run by some big thinkers. I'll be able to work that around travel and other fun activities when Alan retires. He started at another defense contractor company a few weeks ago.
