Richard Bushey

RICHARD DEAN BUSHEY, 48, of Las Vegas, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004. He was born in Powell, Wyo., and was a resident of Las Vegas for 43 years. Richard attended Clark High School, graduating in 1974. He attended UNLV and was an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Richard was the owner and designer of the Dancing Machine Van in the 70's in Las Vegas. He was an engineer for 14 years at the Golden Nugget Casino. Richard married Laura Batista April of 1983. To that union was born two sons, Tyler and Brian Bushey. He was a devoted father and loved spending time with his children. Richard is survived by his wife, Laura Bushey; sons, Tyler and Brian Bushey, both of Las Vegas; parents, Tom and Elaine Bushey of Boulder City; and his brother, Steve Bushey of Las Vegas. Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Lynn Bushey. A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S.
