Kim Schwartz (Silver)

KIM SCHWARTZ SILVER

"Let Go Let God" at age 60, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at her home, in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 28, 1955, in Chicago, the daughter of Seymour Schwartz and the late Diane Schwartz (nee Davidson). Having moved to Las Vegas at just two years old, Kim was proud to be a "native" Las Vegan. Kim was a graduate of Clark High School, class of 1973. Her late grandfather, Cee Davidson, was a famous orchestra leader at the Sahara Hotel and El Rancho Vegas. That is where Kim learned the love of the stage and show business. She loved her late grandmother, Harriet Davidson, and would be playing cards and games over her house regularly. In her teenage years, she worked in her father's clothing store, Call It Macaroni, while growing up. She recalled many wonderful times and celebrity shoppers during that time of her life. Having perfected her smooth sales skills working with her dad, Kim spent over 30 years working in the sales departments throughout Las Vegas. She always ended up as the top seller or close to it. She won many awards for her efforts as a Tupperware salesperson. She was an outgoing and positive person. She loved spending time with family and friends, where she often was the glue that kept everyone together. At the age of 21, she moved to New York and met her husband, Richard Silver. She spent over 10 years in New York and had her only child, Zachary Silver. In 1990, they moved back to Las Vegas to be closer to family. Richard and Kim separated shortly after that and they kept an open communication and remained friends. She spent over 20 years with her companion, Thomas Zeno. Kim loved playing cards, dancing, singing, celebrating holidays, eating a good bagel and cream cheese, and spending time with family and friends. She made life her stage and let you know she was on it. Her personality was one of a kind that made a first and lasting impression on everyone. In addition to her family mentioned, Kim is survived by her only son, Zachary Silver and his wife, Roberta Fraga-Silver of Las Vegas; her brother, Mark Schwartz of Reno; uncle, Bob Davidson of Fresno, Calif.; close friend, Loretta Block of Las Vegas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
