TAMERA GRAY FITZGIBBONS, 57, passed away on May 24, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. Tammy was a tenacious and tireless warrior and an activist for awareness and finding a cure to this hideous disease. Her struggle was marked by an insatiable zest for life and deep appreciation for the many blessings God had bestowed upon her, even calling her cancer a gift. She shared her revelations with the world through texts, blogs and Facebook posts that became inspirational messages of discovery, self realization, and love to her many followers. She also went to Washington, DC to lobby for additional funding to expand awareness and research efforts. Even complete strangers were touched by Tammy's positive energy and infectious spirit. She married classmate Floyd Fitzgibbons in April 2015 and it was a match made in heaven. Tammy derived great strength and motivation from her husband, who was an equally enthusiastic supporter and cheerleader for her Pound Out Cancer and Ovarian Cancer Awareness crusades. Tammy graduated from Clark High School in Las Vegas in 1975, resided in the Phoenix, Arizona area, and was an active member of the LDS church serving as a Ward Missionary. She leaves behind many friends, classmates, and of course, a large, adoring family. She was loved and admired by all who knew her and we are forever changed because Tammy was in our lives. She will be greatly missed! - Clark High School, Classes of the 1970's, May 24, 2015.
